Database Administrator -Part Time

Class Description The purpose of this class is to provide on-going support andmaintenance for enterprise systems and databases. This classperforms database software development, system and databasepatching, and database administrative duties. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree and two years of programming relatedexperience. Master's degree preferred.

Class Specific Essential Duties Design, program, test, implement, and document modifications toexisting systems in order to enhance processing efficiencies or arequired change. Investigate and resolve application system problems reported bysystem users. Analyze and develop system specifications and procedures formodifications to existing computer systems (developed in-house orthird party packages), in support of user requests. Apply updates to third-party software products. Identify, evaluate, recommend, and implement new products andtechnologies.
