We are currently seeking a Litigation Attorney with a strong background in family law to join our growing legal team. Schedule:   

• 8-hour shift.  

• Monday to Friday.
  

Ability to Commute:

• Office locations in South Florida may be necessary according to the needs of the firm.

Work Location: In-person, Hybrid, and Remote

$90,000 - $230,000 yearly DOE

• Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs, with precision and diligence. 

• Ensure litigation processes by preparing for trials, depositions, and hearings. 

• Ensure every client receives a legal update every 21 days, at a minimum, from your legal team. 

• Ensure that you meet and enter all billable hours into the case management system concurrently. 

• Respond to client and case-related phone calls and emails within twenty-four (24) business hours. 

• Ensure that each client has funds in trust before performing extensive work, and if not, inform Accounting to request a replenishment immediately.  

• Attend mandatory Scrum meetings weekly. 

• Strategize, execute, and complete assigned cases, and ensure all active cases have required tasks entered into the case management system with assigned due dates before the weekly Scrum meetings. 

• Engage in negotiations on behalf of clients to reach favorable settlements. 

• Manage the caseload so all cases are completed as quickly and efficiently as possible. 

• Review drafts from paralegals and provide comments within 24-48 hours to allow them to complete their tasks. 

• Finally, your participation in marketing efforts for the Firm, such as networking opportunities and presentations, may be required.  

• 3 to 5 years of experience in civil litigation in family law.  
• Eligible to Practice Law in Florida.  
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. 
• Active license and in good standing with the Florida State Bar. 
• Superior research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. 
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think strategically. 
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities. 
• Empathetic communicator with a client-first mindset. 
• Familiarity with Florida state court rules and procedures. 
• Bilingual (Spanish) required.
