A culture where great ideas thrive because every voice is heard.Primary Location: United States (US) - Wisconsin - HoriconAs a Production Welder with John Deere in Horicon, WI, you will:Perform weld operations in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork. Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:Weld parts and sub-assemblies to specification using various welding processes.Adjust voltage, heat, pressure, and speed to maintain quality.Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures.Utilize manufacturing tools to record data and keep records for quality and maintenance.Check results for conformance to specifications and make necessary corrections.Operate power driven equipment such as forklifts and industrial trucks to move material, parts, and equipment.Use various types of tools and equipment to perform work - including but not limited to CNC / robotic welding equipment, safety equipment, manual arc welders, grinders, hoists, fixtures, and applicable hand and power tools.Lubricate, check, and clean work equipment and tooling.Assist and support other team members.Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.Minimum Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of age.Must have at least one of the following: High School Diploma or G.E.D. National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)At least 3 years of manufacturing work experienceMust have a weld certification (or equivalent) OR at least 6 months experience of welding in a manufacturing environment OR ability and willingness to successfully complete internal weld training program upon hire.Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift – with or without reasonable accommodation; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing of repetitive actions.Ability and willingness to work any shift and potential overtime (including weekends).Preferred Qualifications:Welder certification (or equivalent) or at least 6 months experience welding in a manufacturing environment.Why Work at John Deere?
