Position Title: Medical Office Clerk

Location: Hampton, VA 23665

Duration: 1 to 5 years

Work Schedule: 07:30AM - 4:30PM {Monday to Friday ($40hr/week)}

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Manage and optimize clinic appointment templates and schedules to improve operational efficiency.
• Analyse clinic templates and proactively manage provider adherence to schedules.
• Manage different appointment slot types, including:
• Acute (24-hour)
• Future (FTR)
• Procedures (PROC)
• Specialty (SPEC)
• Group sessions
• Balance appointment slots based on patient encounter and appointment demand.
• Support clinic productivity by monitoring and improving prospective slot release and retrospective appointment metrics.
• Manage, implement, or support Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
• Ensure clinic templates remain standardized, functional, and operational during business hours.
• Review and resolve template modification/creation requests within 3 business days, with approval from Group Practice Managers and Clinic Leadership.
• Provide template-specific, scheduling, and clinic-management training to new clinical and clinic-support staff within 5 days of arrival.
• Ensure templates and released schedules comply with MHS/DHA documentation and privacy requirements.
• Manage clinical projects, timelines, and resources and support process improvements.
• Prepare and submit monthly status reports by the 5th business day of each month.
