Position Overview LINAK is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth within our TECHLINE business by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across the United States. This role is a true “hunter” position, focused on expanding LINAK’s presence with Construction, Agriculture, and Defense OEM customers through the sale of high-quality electric actuators and motion solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen with proven success in technical sales and business development. Frequent in-person customer engagement is critical to success in this role. Key Responsibilities Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the Construction, Agriculture, and Defense markets Develop and execute business development strategies to grow LINAK TECHLINE actuator sales across the U.S. Establish and maintain strong relationships with OEM customers, engineering teams, and decision-makers Conduct frequent in-person customer visits, presentations, and technical discussions (approximately 50% travel) Collaborate closely with internal sales, engineering, and application teams to develop customer-specific solutions Lead the sales process from initial opportunity identification through quotation, negotiation, and closing Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging customer needs to inform growth strategy Accurately forecast pipeline activity and report progress toward business development goals Requirements Must be resourceful and be able to work both independently and with a team. Excellent phone skills are a must. A proven history demonstrating the ability to determine the needs of the customer, develop technical solutions to meet those needs and communicate the solutions in a persuasive manner is required. Required is a minimum of 5 years sales experience with Industrial sales industry. Experience with Off-Highway industriy is preferred. Bachelors degree required in Business, Engineering or a related field.
