divh2Medical Lab Scientist II/h2pOur client, a Clinical Laboratory company, is looking for a Medical Lab Scientist II for their Nashville, TN location./ppResponsibilities:/pulliResponsibilities are interchangeable within job titles of medical laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist or clinical laboratory scientist./liliWork environment/department will be listed in requirement./liliDetermine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria./liliPerform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures./liliMonitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality./liliDemonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving./liliPrepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls./liliReport accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care./liliPerform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures./liliIdentify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary./liliAssist with processing of specimens when needed./liliMaintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment./liliGeneralist Core Lab, Chem, hem, urine, coag, run instruments, QC, maintenance./li/ulpRequirements:/pulliBlood bank experience would be a big plus/liliBachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA State) requirements./liliMinimum 2-4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required./liliState Medical Technologist license may be required (will be listed in requirement if its needed)./liliASCP or AMT certification is either preferred or required (will be listed in requirement if its required)./liliAbility to work independently and within a team environment./liliProficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus./liliHigh level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills./li/ulpWhy Should You Apply?/pulliHealth Benefits/liliReferral Program/liliExcellent growth and advancement opportunities/li/ulpICONMA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
