UnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the area’s clinics are improving outcomes, lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. • Well established Hospitalist program since 2006, currently includes 20 physician & 4 APP's

• Care team support that includes 5 dedicated hospitalist RNs for care coordination and rounding efficiency + 1 Diabetes Managesment CDCES RN

• Provider request driven schedule - flexible and accommodating

• Shifts available

• Day shift 7a-7p

• Night shift 7p-7a

• PM Swing shift 2p-12a

• Full-time is 2080 hours per year

• Excellent multi-specialty support and procedural support

• Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

• Open ICU with intensivist availability to consult

Responsibilities

• Admitting/Rounding on medical/surgical patients 18-years of age and older (adult)

• Days/Nights/Weekends/Holidays - shared equally amongst group

• Excellent work/life balance with flexible scheduling

Qualifications

• MD or DO

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; Must be board certified within year of employment

• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa

• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice

• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)

• J-1 waiver sponsorship available
