Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) care at a metropolitan location in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to acutely ill adult patients in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma Center environment. Candidates are required to bring their active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details

• Location: Madison, Wisconsin
• Schedule: Evening/Night, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 pm 7:30 am, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN or compact RN license; minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in telemetry, oncology, cardiac, or PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown units; experience with vent and transplant patients; ACLS and BLS certifications; proficiency in accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care, chest tube management, and other specified skills; pass/fail telemetry exam with strict criteria prior to start.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an academic Level I or II trauma center, advanced certification in specialty areas, and additional telemetry or cardiac interpretation training.
• Additional Information: The position entails working in both the IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and Thoracic units, with a focus on highly specialized care such as post-transplant and trauma patients. Every other weekend and some holidays are required. Travelers may need to float as needed and must adhere to the local rule (50 miles from the facility).
• Submittal Requirements: Successful passing of telemetry and cardiac rhythm identification exams, with up to two attempts per exam. References should be removed from submissions.
• Start Date: July 6, 2026
