The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMay include, but are not limited to, the following:Maintains a safe working environment for employees, customers & carriersLoad outbound shipments safely and accurately onto flatbed trailers for shipmentUnload inbound shipments safelyResponsible for safe and proper product storageAssists in inventory trackingComply with all Company policies and proceduresCertified as a Forklift Operator with a proven record to safe operationUses a variety of tools and instruments to asses, inspect and move productMust maintain area to be clean and free from safety hazardsEnter material weights and move product into DSI and TelnetComplete paperwork as required by properly documenting all inventory transitionsSafely operates powered industrial truck to move productThis position is responsible for the care, inspection and routine maintenance of his or her liftThe lift truck operators check list should be completed before the beginning of the shift and prior to use and entered in the Keytroller program on the liftMay relieve employees for meal breaksMust be able to read a tape measureAll other duties as assignedEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSRequires a High School Diploma or GEDMust be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to perform repetitive bending, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The base pay range for this position is $23.41 to $27.31 This is based on relevant market data in our lowest and highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience and skillset. Westlake is a total compensation company.
