About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Chief Medical Dosimetrist to join their team. This pivotal role is focused on the development, review, and optimization of complex proton therapy treatment plans, particularly using advanced pencil beam scanning technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the precision and safety of dose delivery, serving as a backup planner, and actively participating in departmental administrative functions. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other medical staff, is essential. The role also involves leading educational activities, supporting research, and mentoring junior staff. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s or higher degree in medical physics, radiation therapy, or a related health science, and be a certified medical dosimetrist with a minimum of five years' hands-on experience in proton therapy planning. Expertise in proton treatment planning, particularly with pencil beam scanning technology, is a requirement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of proton physics, dosimetric techniques, and quality assurance processes, and be an exceptional team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership experience or a keen interest in administrative roles within radiation oncology, as well as a willingness to engage in hybrid work arrangements, are also necessary.
