Registered Nurse, Adult Emergency Department

Position Summary As a registered nurse in the Adult Emergency Department, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to ED patients during day, evening, and night shifts. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate, and educate patients and families. Job Responsibilities Deliver nursing care in the Adult Emergency Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients. Communicate effectively with health-care team members, patients, and families. Coordinate and delegate patient-care activities to inter-professional colleagues. Update and manage patient records and enter/interpret computerized data. Follow BMC nursing policies and guidelines. Assist leadership with quality improvement projects as needed. Job Requirements Registered nurse license in Massachusetts (or ability to obtain one). Minimum 1 year of emergency department nursing experience. Current certification in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). Certification in TNCC (or attain prior to start date). Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years if not currently holding one. Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty certification for certain practice areas. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Physical ability to meet job responsibilities. Basic computer proficiency. Fluency in another language is a plus. Job Benefits Competitive pay.
