Staff AccountantThe Staff Accountant role is a position that will fill a critical component in our Finance & Accounting team. This hands-on position provides many opportunities to develop your accounting and operational skills in a relatively flat department.As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting and financial tasks to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records and reports. You will report to the Director of Accounting and work closely with the finance team and other departments to support day-to-day accounting.ResponsibilitiesDedicated resource for O&M/Solutions AP vendor billsProcessing and allocation of FedEx and Enterprise billsLanding costs for accurate inventory costingEnter, track, and reconcile vendor prepaymentsTrack and reconcile vendor returnsOther duties as assignedEducation & Experience RequiredBS in Accounting (or related major)3+ years of experience in an accounting roleNetSuite experience requiredVery good understanding of Excel formulas and functionsWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeGeneral computer and financial systems competencyEmbrace and live by the mission and values of Cypress Creek EnergySkills/AbilitiesSolid understanding of basic accounting principlesInquisitive, with the desire to learn and initiativeOrganized, resourceful and pays attention to detailSelf-starter who handles multiple projects with competing prioritiesTeam player who does well with daily ad-hoc requestsStrong cross-functional communication skillsAbility to identify problems and discrepanciesLocation: The preferred location for this role is for our office in Durham, NC.
