Quality Technician

Seeking a Quality Technician to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for in-process production audits, inspecting incoming materials, reviewing engineering blueprints drawings and managing the calibration of gauges. What You'll Do: Inspect and approve incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods against engineering drawings and specifications. Perform daily product inspections utilizing precision measurement tools, including height gauges, calipers, and micrometers. Document inspection results accurately through reports, logs, and database entries, including tracking rework and scrap. Communicate non-conformances promptly to affected departments and follow up to ensure required adjustments are made. Issue Corrective Actions as appropriate, strictly following internal quality guidelines. Maintain and manage all production gauges; perform in-house calibration where possible and coordinate third-party calibration when necessary. Verify the proper operation of gauges, managing necessary inspections and repairs. Ensure strict compliance with company quality standards, safety practices, and regulatory requirements. Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Quality department, executing revisions and updates as needed. Assist in auditing internal work procedures and provide actionable recommendations to address non-conformances. Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality systems and reducing rework. What We're Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in STEM or related coursework preferred. 3+ years of experience in a quality, inspection, engineering, or manufacturing role preferred. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and utilize standard measurement tools. Strong working knowledge of mechanical measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and thread gauges). Familiarity with engineering drawings, blueprints, and industry specifications (e.g., ANSI, ASTM, API, and 3A). Familiarity with quality documentation, reporting, and accurate data entry. Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
