Job Summary:
Operating Room Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Tech position in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment specializing in complex open-heart and vascular procedures. The role involves providing direct support during cardiac surgeries, including open-heart surgeries, vascular repairs, and related procedures, within a dynamic team committed to clinical excellence and collaboration. Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift; 10 hours per day; minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid and current NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) or NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing) certification; valid licensed professional in the applicable field; 1 year of related experience; working knowledge of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atherectomy, Atrial Septal defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Cardiothoracic robotic surgery, Carotid Endarterectomy, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR), Femoral popliteal bypass graft, Laparoscopic assisted cases, Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery, Lung resection- Thoracotomy, Mitral valve replacement, Pedi CVOR, Pericardial window, TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair), Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery), Vein stripping, Ventricular Assist Device (VAD), Impella, and robotic hearts and lungs; local radius of 75 miles.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open heart and vascular surgeries, cardiac industry certifications, previous high-acuity cardiovascular case experience, and familiarity with post-operative patient monitoring.
• Additional Information: The position requires call during about 1-2 weekends and 1-2 weekdays per week, averaging about 10 days per month including weekends. The role involves supporting a team in a facility with a daily case volume of approximately 6 cases, utilizing interdisciplinary support, and functioning within a unit that handles adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations. Orientation includes 36 hours of on-site training; modules are non-billable and completed during orientation. Perform duties utilizing aseptic techniques, sterile environment protocols, and applicable surgical procedures while maintaining compliance with hospital policies.
