Job Information Title: Adjunct Instructor of Art Education Employee Classification: Adjunct Faculty Campus: University of North Texas, Denton Division: UNT-Provost Department: UNT-Col of Visual Arts & Design, CVAD Department Location: Denton FTE: Varies based on assignment Position Overview The Department of Art Education seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester, with openings to teach developing periodically based on departmental teaching needs. The anticipated need is for Adjunct Instructors whose duties may include in-person teaching. Department Summary Our department enhances students’ understanding of contemporary and past visual art forms. We provide opportunities to examine global artistic production, relevant technologies, critical methods, learning theories, and innovative pedagogical approaches. The campus is highly diverse; we welcome candidates with experience with HSI/MSIs and/or proficiency in languages such as Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, and Yoruba. Minimum Qualifications MA in Art Education or a related field is required. Preferred Qualifications Terminal degree in the discipline is preferred. Physical Requirements Communicating with others to exchange information. Environmental Hazards No adverse environmental conditions expected. Work Schedule Varies based on assignment.
