Residential Assistant Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Service Technician to join our Hyde Park team on Chicago's South Side. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and has a solid background in maintenance, repair. This position requires strong problem‑solving skills, initiative and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced setting. Experience in painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems is required. Demonstrate a proactive approach, strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Walk the property daily to ensure cleanliness and address any maintenance issues. Perform janitorial duties as assigned. Exhibit excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of the safe and proper use of common tools, cleaning products and supplies. Flexibility to work overtime periods and assist at our other residential communities when needed. Availability to respond to after‑hours emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays. Must be willing to work on Saturdays. Foster workplace harmony and promote a positive company image. Any other tasks as directed by the Property Manager and Service Manager.
