Inpatient Phlebotomist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Inpatient Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will:

• Draw blood samples from patients (fingers, heels, or veins) using aseptic techniques.
• Ensure accurate collection of the correct type and amount of specimen.
• Document all requests and accurately release lab work results.
• Notify physicians promptly of released lab results.
• Manage appropriate routing, handling, and processing of various medical specimens.
• Order, distribute, and maintain stock of supplies as needed.
• Train and provide performance feedback for other lab assistants.
• Handle a daily patient load of 6080 individuals with efficiency and care.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in blood draws and sample collection techniques.
• Familiarity with outpatient and inpatient phlebotomy practices.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of professional phlebotomy experience.
• Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Cerner experience is a plus but not mandatory; candidates must be computer-savvy.

• Intermediate

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
