Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician. This role, suited for passionate professionals near Sunnyvale, CA, offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a Mild/Moderate Special Day Class (SDC) setting. The position requires full-time availability throughout the school year (30-32 hours per week), collaborating with special education teams and making a difference in students’ daily experiences.
What We’re Seeking:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential (required)
- Previous experience in school settings (preferred, brings valuable insight)
- Comfortable working one-on-one or in small groups with elementary-aged children
- Solid understanding of behavior intervention plans and data collection
- Adaptable, understanding, and enthusiastic about positively shaping student behavior
- Candidates must be fully credentialed and able to successfully complete both district and agency fingerprinting/onboarding processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver behavior intervention services to an elementary-aged student or within a small group
- Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to implement IEP goals
- Collect and record behavioral data as part of student progress monitoring
- Communicate effectively, adapting techniques to meet individual student needs
- Participate in ongoing training and supervision—potentially under a BCBA, pending agency clarification
