Growing together.As a full time, nonexempt, Optum/CPS Solutions Pharmacy Technician at Pulaski Memorial you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; procuring drugs; and billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.Pharmacy Location: Located within Pulaski Memorial Hospital, 616 E 13th St, Winamac, IN 46996Hours of Operation: Monday through Saturday 9:00am to 6:00pm. Rotating schedulePrimary Responsibilities:Prepare and dispense medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacistProcess prescription orders accurately, including entering patient and prescription data into pharmacy systemsAssist pharmacists and healthcare providers by gathering necessary information and supporting workflow efficiencyProcess and coordinate specialty medication prescriptions, often for complex or chronic conditionsManage prior authorizations and insurance requirements, working closely with payers and providersCoordinate patient onboarding and refills, ensuring adherence to therapy schedulesHandle medication distribution logistics, including cold-chain management and direct-to-patient shippingMaintain detailed documentation and reporting, meeting REMS, FDA, and manufacturer program requirementsProvide high-touch patient support, addressing non-clinical questions and navigating access barriersEnsure compliance with specialty pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and quality metricsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDLicensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of INPreferred Qualifications:Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy TechnicianPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment.
