What Your Role Entails

• Performing thorough patient assessments, recommending diagnostic tests, and crafting tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health concerns either collaboratively with physicians or independently (as per credentials)
• Providing education to patients and families regarding prevention, wellness, and effective disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies within the legal scope of practice
• Participating in patient follow-up sessions and chronic illness management
• Working closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, cohesive care
• Meticulously documenting all patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Qualifications Needed

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications Required

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Ohio
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC or equivalent specialization)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or eligibility to obtain within 90 days)
