Step into a rewarding opportunity working with students in a close-knit district near Opelika, Auburn, and Lanett, AL. This onsite contract role spans the 23/24 school year, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact across three conveniently-located schools—all within a three-mile radius. The setting provides a supportive, collaborative atmosphere with a small student body and plenty of variety in your daily work.

You’ll manage a caseload of approximately 60 PK-12th grade students, working with mild to moderate disabilities and addressing a diverse range of therapy needs. Responsibilities include case management and providing direct services, ensuring each student receives individualized, high-quality support.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Speech and Communicative Disorders
• Valid Alabama SLP license and SLP Teaching Certificate, or willingness to secure proper certifications for out-of-state candidates
• CCCs preferred, though strong Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants will be considered
• School-based experience is a plus but not required
• Dedication to serving pediatric populations within a school environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy to PK-12 students onsite
• Coordinate and manage cases, develop IEPs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide direct therapy in both group and individual settings across three small schools
• Communicate progress and strategies effectively with teachers and families

Work Schedule and Details:

• School year contract (August 8, 2023 – May 23, 2024)
• Full time (5 days per week, 40 hours)
• Single caseload split across three nearby schools
