## Lab Monitoring Technician IApplylocations: Walpole, New Hampshiretime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: JR102463**Job Description Summary:**The goal of this role is to manage the day-to-day operations of the technical aspects of the laboratory quality system. This individual will coordinate the activities required to meet ISO technical requirements; monitor and advise on how the system is performing; as well as distribute reports regarding performance. They will liaise with other internal Lab Quality and Technical Specialists to ensure compliance.**Job Description:*** Works under direct supervision with a Level II or III DNA Monitoring Tech as they learn new role* Less than 1 year of experience or cannot work fully independently, must show proficiency for tasks allowed to complete independently* Keep materials organized and be aware of all birds in pen area* Obtain quality blood samples with minimal stress for birds* Ensure that blood samples are organized and the correct wingband is assigned to it* Maintain sufficient inventory of DNA supplies to prevent work delays at farm level* Responsible for the quality of work performed as well as the quality of the product produced* Maintain pen, house, and own supply hygiene* Is able to identify wingband placement and can change wingbands* Is a team player and communicates effectively with team and manager* Reports welfare, biosecurity, equipment, and other concerns to responsible party, team, and/or manager* Follow company policy and meet established procedures regarding bio-security, animal welfare, safety, ISO, drug, and alcohol policy* Take on special projects and perform all other duties as assigned by manager### Requirements:* High school diploma required* Comfortable with the use of technology* Ability to communicate orally, written, and via email* Works well with others and supports the team where needed* Must possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to accomplish daily and weekly goals as well as deal with changing testing needs requested by supervisors* Must be authorized to work in the United States of America* Must successfully pass a background check and drug-screen prior to employment* Must possess a valid driver’s license### ### Other Conditions:* Candidate must be comfortable handling farm samples while maintaining sample integrity* Candidate should have the ability to remain cognizant of surroundings, task at hand, aberrant results, potential contamination, and general data collecting practices* For bio-security purposes, candidate cannot own or house any wild or domesticated avian species* Candidate must adhere to a strict 72-hour quarantine period after contact with non Hubbard avian species* Many tasks performed in this role may require repetitive bending, lifting, kneeling, standing, walking, and contact with live animalsBenefits:Aviagen provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the healthcare and financial well-being of our employees.
