Non Registered Technician
$23.43 - $37.22 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a Non-Registered Technician for laboratory specimen processing and technical analysis in Seattle. The role involves operating lab instrumentation, evaluating sample acceptability, and performing quality control procedures on a night shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established laboratory criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental standard operating procedures
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
- Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls; process specimens for microbiology testing
- Document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures; maintain safe work environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemical science, biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems preferred
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within team environment
- Flexibility to work overtime and alternative shifts as needed
Compensation: $23.43-$37.22 base plus third shift differential
