Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $19.09 / Hour Job Schedule Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Tue: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Wed: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Thu: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or personnel by following site‑specific procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns to the appropriate contacts. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout stations, platforms, concourses, entrances, and/or surrounding perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor high‑traffic public areas for policy compliance, assist with directional questions, and/or communicate with site representatives regarding security‑related issues or service needs. Support crowd management and orderly movement during peak travel periods, service disruptions, special events, and/or emergency situations while maintaining a professional presence. Minimum Requirements A New York State Security Guard License is required. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
