Job Title: Experienced CNC Machinist
Location: Houston, TX (or surrounding areas)
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM-1:30 PM (Daily overtime & occasional weekends required)

ChampionX is seeking a skilled and safety-focused CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team and help us drive operational excellence. In this critical hands-on role, you will set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce precision components that meet strict print specifications. You'll also design fixtures and workholding jigs, train less experienced team members, and uphold our commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate CNC-controlled metal-cutting equipment (lathes, mills, saws) for a variety of materials
- Plan and perform machine setups, first article layouts, and execute production runs per blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Inspect materials and finished components to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Complete inspection documentation, mark heat numbers, and apply hold tags as required
- Participate in Lean, Continuous Improvement, and safety initiatives; report and address unsafe conditions immediately
- Maintain accurate inventory records, perform WIP transactions, and utilize Oracle for work orders and material requirements
- Perform daily equipment maintenance checks; operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed
- Train and support less experienced machinists; document and report training provided
- Conduct first piece and roving quality audits
- Uphold ChampionX's ethical and safety standards at all times

Required Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED
- Proven experience operating and setting up CNC lathes and mills
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Knowledge of shop math, machine tool operation, and inspection techniques
- Familiarity with Oracle or similar manufacturing software preferred
- Commitment to punctuality, safety, and high ethical standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform strenuous tasks
- Must reside in Houston, TX or nearby areas
