CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist to operate and program multi-axis lathes with live tooling along side 2-axis lathes with Fanuc controls. Reporting to and working alongside our owner operator, this role will create programs from drawings and optimize complete jobs for prototype, low-volume, and high-volume production parts.

Responsibilities

Create CNC programs from engineering drawings and optimize complete jobs.
Operate multi-axis lathes with live tooling and 2-axis lathes with Fanuc controls.
Set up machines and select appropriate cutting tools and tooling.
Read and interpret blueprints and edit G-code as needed.
Perform precision measurements and quality inspections using calipers and micrometers.
Maintain cutting tools and support consistent machining performance.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience in CNC machining.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with CNC lathe operation and setup.
Proficiency with G-code and blueprint reading.
Experience with precision measurement, calipers, micrometers, and quality inspection.
Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
Physically able to load/unload machines, stand for long periods of time, and lift a minimum of 50lbs.
Excellent math skills are a must
