Project Controls Manager

New Tech Global is currently seeking a Project Controls Manager for a 6 month contract opportunity in Houston, Texas. Project Controls Manager - Summary
- Lead all project controls functions for large-scale offshore, marine, EPC, or heavy construction projects, including planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, progress measurement, risk management, and performance reporting.
- Develop and maintain project control plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), integrated schedules, earned value management (EVM), KPI dashboards, productivity metrics, and change management processes.
- Monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, accruals, commitments, and schedule performance while coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, construction, marine operations, HSE, QA/QC, and subcontractors.
- Prepare executive-level reports, schedule updates, cost reports, progress curves, and management presentations to support project leadership and client reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement of project controls systems, reporting processes, scheduling tools, and data governance while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of Project Controls or Cost Controls experience supporting EPC, offshore, marine, or heavy construction projects.
- Strong experience with integrated project scheduling, cost forecasting, earned value management (EVM), progress measurement, and executive reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel ; experience with reporting automation and project controls software is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to evaluate schedule impacts, productivity, logistics, weather delays, and resource utilization.
