PSC Client Services & Clinic Operations Coordinator

The Patient Services & Clinic Operations Coordinator plays a central role in the daily functioning of the PSC. This position combines front-facing client interaction, financial and administrative operations, and support for the growth of the clinic. You will serve as the first point of contact for clients, manage critical clinic systems (including billing and records), and help ensure smooth, efficient operations across all areas of the clinic. This position is essential to the clinic’s success—ensuring smooth operations for a training clinic. Your work directly supports client care, clinician training, and program growth.

In this highly visible role, you’ll be at the heart of our operations—supporting client care, partnering with clinicians, and helping expand services (including pediatric care). This position offers variety and the opportunity to play a key role in a growing training clinic that provides over 1,400 visits annually. The Psychological Services Center (PSC) is a vibrant graduate student training psychology clinic. To thrive in the role, successful candidates will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanor. This position requires initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and student clinicians. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with diverse populations, adapt to evolving clinic needs, and consistently uphold high ethical standards, including strict adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA requirements, in support of quality patient care and clinic operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree and two years progressively responsible experience related to the program specialty, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Experience working front desk or billing at a medical or behavioral health office.       

Position Details:

This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage, AK. This is a full-time, 12-month, term-funded, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and  full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the  UA Staff Salary Schedule , Grade 78, based on education and experience.
