Senior Manager, Commercial Finance, Sales & Revenue Growth (Chicago)

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Commercial Finance, Sales & Revenue Growth to join a growing consumer products organization. This individual will serve as a strategic finance partner to Sales, providing financial leadership across customer profitability, pricing, revenue growth, forecasting and commercial investment decisions.

The position is well suited for a current Finance Manager who is ready for the next step or a recently promoted Senior Manager seeking broader commercial ownership and visibility with senior leadership.

Senior Manager, Commercial Finance, Sales & Revenue Growth Responsibilities:

• Partner with Sales leadership on customer strategy, pricing, forecasting, distribution and investment decisions
• Develop and maintain customer and channel P&Ls, providing visibility into revenue, gross margin, contribution profit and overall customer economics
• Evaluate customer, product and SKU profitability to identify growth opportunities, margin risks and corrective actions
• Support pricing, revenue growth and commercial investment decisions through financial modeling, scenario analysis and business cases
• Analyze trade programs and promotional activity, including incremental volume, contribution margin, cannibalization and return on investment
• Lead customer and channel forecasting while explaining performance against plan, forecast and prior year
• Develop financial recommendations for new products, customers, contract renewals, distribution opportunities and other commercial initiatives
• Build reporting, dashboards and performance tools that improve visibility into commercial results, risks and opportunities
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations and Accounting to improve profitability and decision-making

Senior Manager, Commercial Finance, Sales & Revenue Growth Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field
• Eight or more years of progressive Finance experience
• Experience within CPG, food and beverage, retail, ecommerce or another consumer-focused organization
• Direct experience in Commercial Finance, Sales Finance, Customer Finance, Revenue Growth Management or Sales FP&A
• Demonstrated experience with customer P&Ls, pricing, profitability analysis, budgeting and forecasting
• Experience with trade investment, promotional analysis or gross-to-net strongly preferred
• Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel skills
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or another business intelligence platform
• Previous people-management, mentoring or team-leadership experience
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence Sales leaders and translate financial information into clear business recommendations
