As the MRI Technologist you will perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This will require an in-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology.You will be required to maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition/formation. You will be expected to support all imaging centers staffed by our organization . You will also need to apply your knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room. You will: Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders Maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed Operate a variety of post-processing/3D workstations Perform accurate image archival Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media Sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patient *Internal candidates will be placed according to their Active/Current career ladder level* Salary Range: $55.38 - $73.00/Hourly Qualifications Please ensure your resume and application includes ALL relevant certifications and licenses. Any applications missing the required licenses/certifications will not be considered. Licenses A combination of the ARRT and CRT - required. OR you need A combination of the ARRT and ARMRIT (MR) - required BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required Graduate from a Radiologic Technologist Program - preferred Venipuncture certificate - preferred AA or BS - preferred At least 1 year of MRI experience - preferred Siemens experience - preferred Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies Ability to identify contraindications for exams Excellent communication, interpersonal and independent decision-making skills Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes) Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities You will be required to rotate to all radiology sites staffed by UCLA Health #J-18808-Ljbffr University of California - Los Angeles Health
