Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier in the Birmingham, AL area, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team! This is a direct-hire opportunity offering competitive pay, excellent benefits, and opportunities for career growth.

Quality Engineer Job Summary :

• Pay: $76,000-$80,800+ annually DOE
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures
• Analyze production and quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Investigate product defects, non-conformances, and customer complaints
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to improve processes and product quality
• Conduct internal audits and support external/customer audits
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation
• Ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines
• Assist with process validation, PPAPs, FMEAs, Control Plans, and continuous improvement projects
• Train production personnel on quality standards and procedures as needed

Quality Engineer Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
• Previous Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
• Knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience with ISO standards, auditing, and quality documentation preferred
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and Control Plans preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-related software systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• ASQ certification preferred, but not required

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing and office environment
• Frequent interaction with production teams and plant operations
• May require standing, walking the production floor, and occasional lifting
