Exciting Opportunity for a Dedicated Nurse!

Job Description:


- Shift: 19:00-07:00
- Location: 12T, 2300 Patterson Street
- Unit Name: 12 Tower
- Cost Center: 60326


- Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds: 36
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 / 1:5
- Staffing: Secretary every day, PRN techs
- Equipment: PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lift, Broda Chairs, Alaris IV Pumps
- Documentation: Meditech


- Requirements:
- Scheduling: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week block
- Floating Policy: Float over core staff
- Patient Experience: Bedside shift report, safety checks q1-2h, focus on communication and responsiveness
- Certifications: BLS, NIHSS


- Skill Set:
- Perform basic patient assessments
- General care and maintenance of wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, strokes, and seizures
- Experience with dialysis or PCA pumps
- Knowledge of heparin drips


- Post-Op Procedures on Unit:
- Amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs


- Dress Code:
- Scrubs in Navy, Blue, White, Black, Gray, or Ceil Blue


- Unit Guidelines/Policies:
- HAI prevention
- CVC and Foley monitoring with standard precautions
- Fall prevention
- DCL Lounge/Throughput 100%
- Medication Scanning, including controlled substances
- Attendance per policy


- Team Environment:
