Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that align with clients' specific needs, focusing on pre-crisis and crisis intervention strategies.
• Implement evidence-based practices in counseling, utilizing established screening tools to guide treatment decisions and enhance client outcomes.
• Document all interactions and treatment processes promptly and accurately in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring that client records are maintained to the highest ethical standards.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to devise and execute positive behavior support plans tailored to individual needs, promoting healthy coping strategies.
• Actively participate in the clinic's licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and best practice guidelines.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and various service systems, including state agencies and community organizations, to advocate for client needs and facilitate access to resources.
• Engage in outreach efforts to establish relationships with local and state organizations, helping to promote our programs and explore potential partnerships for funding and resources.
• Continuously pursue professional development opportunities, including attending workshops, conferences, and relevant meetings to enhance your knowledge and skills in mental health counseling.
• Embody and promote the mission, values, and principles of Myers Counseling Center in all aspects of your work.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Clinic Director, contributing to the overall effectiveness and success of our clinical team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Myers Counseling Center, our primary focus is on providing mental health support to seniors dealing with grief, life transitions, and age-related issues. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.
• A minimum of four years of recent experience in geriatric counseling or mental health support, demonstrating a strong commitment to client care.
• Specialization or additional training in geriatric mental health is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in community health settings or similar environments focused on supporting diverse populations.
• Proficiency in telehealth platforms and digital documentation systems.
• Track record of successfully collaborating with interprofessional teams to enhance client access to care and resources.

Compensation and Benefits
