Location 987 Airway Court,Santa Rosa, CA, 95403,United States Base Pay $70,720.00 - $85,280.00 / Year Job Category Administration Employee Type Exempt Required Degree High school Travel 30% Manage Others Yes Description Position Summary The Community Engagement Manager advances the mission of Catholic Charities of Northwest California (CCNWC) by leading and strengthening community relationships, volunteer engagement, parish partnerships, employee engagement, outreach, and agency-wide community events. This position serves as the primary relationship manager between CCNWC and external community stakeholders while creating meaningful opportunities for volunteers, parishes, businesses, civic organizations, and community members to engage with the agency's mission. The Community Engagement Manager develops practical systems and standards for volunteer management, partnerships, agency representation, and stakeholder engagement. The Manager will supervise assigned staff, volunteers, interns, contractors, and engagement-related initiatives and collaborate with Development, Programs, Human Resources, Administration and Executive Leadership to align engagement efforts with agency priorities. Management Team Functions Responsible for the implementation of strategic initiatives, annual goals, budget guidelines, operational timelines, and data/service integration. Recognize opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for efficiency. Facilitate cross-department collaboration and integration. Manage to agency approved budget and make ongoing recommendations for reductions or additives in expenditures where possible. Measure performance to improve the quality of services provided internally and externally. Responsible for day-to-day operations and delivery of the organization’s services. Make recommendations for innovation within assigned service areas. Support all staff in compliance and fidelity to related policies and procedures. Create peer to peer partnerships to establish strong working relationships internally and externally. Complete reports and assist with requests for data and reporting for internal and external evaluation. Work with individual staff to develop personalized training goals and expectations. Implement data systems and gather data to ensure high quality service internally and externally Actively implement all available approaches to support the growth and success of staff. Actively role model and create actions and conditions for agency alignment with mission, vision, and values. Essential Functions Community Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement Build and sustain partnerships that increase community awareness, collaboration, referrals, volunteers, and support for CCNWC programs. Maintain relationships with community organizations, faith communities, businesses, civic groups, schools, public agencies, and healthcare partners. Represent CCNWC at community meetings, coalitions, advisory groups, networking events, and public forums. Coordinate agency presentations, site tours, speaking engagements, and community outreach opportunities. Volunteer and In-kind Donations Lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding, placement, recognition, retention, and tracking. Develop volunteer and in-kind donation opportunities to support agency operations, events, fundraising, and direct service programs. Support in strengthening relationships with Catholic parishes, faith communities, and faith-based partners throughout the service area. Employee Engagement and Agency Culture Lead employee engagement initiatives that strengthen mission integration, organizational culture, belonging, recognition, and retention. Coordinate appreciation activities, mission-focused events, wellness efforts, service projects, and staff engagement programs. Community Events and Outreach Plan and coordinate community events, outreach activities, service projects, open houses, and awareness campaigns. Coordinate event logistics, staffing, volunteers, community participation, and partner engagement. Communications Coordination: Support Role Coordinate closely with the Director of Communications and Marketing to support approved agency messaging and campaigns. Share community insights, volunteer stories, partnership outcomes, and prospective donor or sponsor leads with the appropriate Development or Communications team members. Data, Reporting, and Administration Maintain volunteer and engagement records, metrics, reports, and compliance documentation. Prepare impact summaries, presentations, and recommendations for agency leadership and stakeholders. Manage assigned budgets and resources. One Agency Support the Mission, Vision, and Values of Catholic Charities in the performance of all essential job functions and responsibilities. Education, Experience, and Skills Required High school diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required. Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, community engagement, volunteer administration, public administration, communications, social services, or a related field preferred, three to five years of experience in community engagement, volunteer management, partnership development, events, outreach, or related work, preferred. An additional 4-6 years’ experience in fund development may substitute for a bachelor's degree. Demonstrated ability to build and sustain productive relationships with community organizations, parishes, volunteers, businesses, civic leaders, public agencies, and diverse stakeholders. ability to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently and meet deadlines. Excellent facilitation, presentation, interpersonal, project management, problem-solving and organizational skills, ability to produce accurate and thorough work and to monitor work for quality. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and to use feedback to improve performance. Ability to make appropriate decisions based on training and experience when faced with multiple options. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as to successfully collaborate on a team. Demonstrated proficiency with Office 365 and familiarity with databases; willingness to learn and apply new software and platforms as necessary for the work. Passion and enthusiasm for the mission of Catholic Charities and its clients. Possess valid driver’s license; at least state required minimum of auto insurance. Must pass DOJ background clearance (fingerprinting) in accordance with the Diocese of Santa Rosa’s policies, prior to start of employment. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
