Job Description
The Staff Pharmacist will play a vital role in a retail pharmacy setting, providing expert medication dispensing and consultation services while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. Working closely within a small team, this position requires strong clinical knowledge, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a commitment to regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to patients
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness and potential interactions
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and safety
- Manage pharmacy inventory and order supplies as needed
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and legal pharmacy standards
- Supervise and support pharmacy staff within a small team
- Provide clinical consultation to optimize patient medication therapy
- Conduct quality assurance audits and maintain detailed records
- Promote medication safety initiatives across pharmacy operations
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Valid Pharmacist License
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmacy practice
- Experience with primerx software
