Staff Pharmacist

Job Description

The Staff Pharmacist will play a vital role in a retail pharmacy setting, providing expert medication dispensing and consultation services while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. Working closely within a small team, this position requires strong clinical knowledge, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a commitment to regulatory compliance and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to patients
Review prescriptions for appropriateness and potential interactions
Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and safety
Manage pharmacy inventory and order supplies as needed
Ensure adherence to all regulatory and legal pharmacy standards
Supervise and support pharmacy staff within a small team
Provide clinical consultation to optimize patient medication therapy
Conduct quality assurance audits and maintain detailed records
Promote medication safety initiatives across pharmacy operations

Required Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
Valid Pharmacist License
Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmacy practice
Experience with primerx software
