Recreation Coordinator - Senior Center

The City of Auburn is seeking a Senior Center Recreation Coordinator to help develop, organize, and implement programs for one of the best senior centers in the state. This role gives you an opportunity to shape meaningful experiences for older adults in a vibrant, community-focused environment. You'll be part of a department known for delivering exceptional programs with excellent facilities, from a golf course to a farm and museum, from a newly opened art center to one of the state's best farmer's markets, with more exciting developments on the horizon. Responsibilities Design, coordinate, and deliver engaging programs for adults 50+, including classes, trips, sports, and special events. Collaborate with fellow coordinators to develop and enhance citywide senior services. Organize program logistics – from scheduling and staffing, to supplies and program evaluation. Safely transport participants using a 15‑passenger van and may even lead group hikes up to 8 miles. This list is meant to be an example, and is not a full list. To view the full job description, click here: Qualifications WHAT YOU NEED: A Bachelor's Degree in recreation or related field; AND Two (2) years of work experience coordinating and organizing programs and events; or Six (6) years of experience in a related field. You must also have a valid driver's license without impending loss at the time of appointment, and maintain a valid driver's license throughout your employment.
