As a Security Officer Mall Unarmed Patrol in Elmont, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a retail and mall location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support guests and tenants with strong communication and customer service while working with an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and/or vendor activity, and assist with enforcing location rules, posted requirements, and other security-related protocols.
• Support opening and closing activities, report maintenance or hazard concerns, and provide visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or disorderly conduct.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
