Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support residents, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will contribute to a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, people-first approach while responding to daily needs with agility and professionalism.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, as applicable to the assigned post.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, observing visitor activity, and helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
• Support a respectful environment within the shelter setting by addressing routine issues, providing directions, and communicating with site contacts regarding security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
