Phlebotomist Specialist

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist for the location at Gary L. Howard M.D. 401 Airport Commons Dr. suite 404 Calera, AL 35040. The position operates Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other required diagnostics. Enter patient information accurately and promptly into the system. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as required. Travel to additional sites when needed. Work at either a Patient Service Center or a client office, serving as a front‑line representative of the company. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification, completion of an accredited training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program from an accredited agency if work experience is insufficient. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or within a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime as needed. Must be able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
