VFR Pool Pilot

Overview PHI Health is a national air ambulance provider that delivers critical care to patients across the country. The pilot role offers opportunities to work life‑saving missions on a 24‑hour day/night rotation. Responsibilities Perform line pilot duties in accordance with GOM. Support Safety Management System and Destination Zero safety campaigns. Assist with loading and unloading of patients and equipment. Provide safe, efficient, courteous and reliable service to internal and external customers. Participate in community outreach programs and adhere to PHI Air Medical policies. Maintain a 7x7 schedule; day of week base schedules may shift and schedule changes may be required. Travel to an assigned PHI base in Arizona or California and remain on site for a minimum of one year per CBA Pool pilot position. Qualifications Commercial and Instrument Helicopter Ratings. First Class Medical. Meet CAMTS requirements: 2,000 total flight hours; 1,500 helicopter flight hours; 1,000 PIC helicopter hours; 500 turbine helicopter hours; 100 hours unaided night operations or 50 unaided + 100 NVG hours. Body weight 235 pounds or less. Strong communication and customer service skills. Must pass pre‑placement physical exam, functional capacity test including lift 100 pounds, drug screening and background check. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to travel to Arizona or California. Compensation and Benefits Competitive base pay with shift bonuses and incentives. Annual Safety Bonus and Employee Bonus. Sign‑on bonus up to $50,000.
