Our Housekeeping leaders champion the hiring, onboarding, performance, staffing, scheduling, training and development of their team while ensuring that Laundry and Housekeeping services consistently support exceptional guest experiences, financial performance, long-term business goals, and the overall success of the property. As an Assistant Housekeeping Manager , you’re not just leading the hotel’s daily housekeeping operations– you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest!

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager reports directly to the Housekeeping Manager or Director of Housekeeping. This highly visible leadership position provides a strong presence throughout the hotel and active engagement with guests and employees. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager maintains strong oversight and supervision across Laundry and Housekeeping operations to ensure consistency in the presentation, availability, and cleanliness of hotel rooms, linens, and public spaces.

• Support daily housekeeping operations : Assist in managing cleanliness, service, and product quality standards in guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices, and meeting areas
• Manage room readiness : Assign and inspect rooms, verify status, and report updates to ensure timely availability
• Monitor inventory : Maintain stock levels for linens and housekeeping supplies, ensuring carts and storage areas are properly stocked
• Support operational efficiency : Track payroll reports, manage work schedules, and oversee the lost and found program
• Coordinate maintenance needs : Partner with Engineering and Property Operations to facilitate timely repairs and upkeep of guest rooms and public spaces
• Inspire and develop the team : Supervise and support team members, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a positive and productive work environment

Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be reliable, report to work on time, and be able to work all shifts on-site
• Must have open availability Monday-Sunday and be available to work evenings and weekends
• Must be able to work the necessary hours and a rotating schedule to support the needs of the department, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and key events
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be currently eligible to work in the United States of America and able to present required original employment authorization documents, as required to complete the Form I-9 on the first day of employment.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.

AVAILABILITY

Double Tree Bloomington Minneapolis South operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed work day, to include Holidays, or time of work if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the amount of hours per week that you will work and that hours may fluctuate each week based on the needs of a 24/7 operation, including days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
