Corporate Compliance & Ethics Expert - (Director/Analyst, Fully Remote United States)

About the Role Gartner is seeking a Corporate Compliance and Ethics Expert (Director/Analyst). The analyst will author research and support client conversations on transforming compliance functions, regulatory impacts, and leveraging data analytics to optimize compliance risk assessments and monitoring. Responsibilities Author pragmatic and provocative research for publication and client use. Support client conversations on compliance functions, regulatory risks, and data‑analytics solutions. Advise Chief Compliance Officers and leadership on compliance priorities and actionable recommendations. Partner with Legal, ERM, Finance, and Internal Audit for cross‑functional collaboration. Conduct compliance risk assessments and produce reporting. Monitor and analyze regulatory changes and adapt internal policies and procedures. Design, implement, and enhance enterprise compliance frameworks, including policies, training, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms. Respond to press inquiries to maintain Gartner’s industry leadership reputation. Qualifications Minimum 10+ years of compliance, legal, or regulatory experience, most recently as deputy or divisional chief compliance officer or senior compliance leader. Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, international studies, or equivalent experience; post‑graduate law or economics degree preferred. Experience advising leadership or board on compliance priorities, integrating quantitative and qualitative evidence into executive‑ready narratives and recommendations. Demonstrated cross‑functional collaboration with Legal, ERM, Finance, or Internal Audit. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adjust style to diverse audiences. Executive presence with credibility at the executive level. Ability to navigate and thrive in a highly matrixed work environment. Other Requirements Willingness to offer flexible working hours within reason to serve Gartner’s global client base. Ability to travel on occasion for team offsites and Gartner conferences (less than 10% of the year). Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $148,000 – $175,500 USD. Annual bonus plan or role‑based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Generous paid time off, 401(k) match up to $7,200 per year, and opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount.
