Staff Accountant

A global leader in precision manufacturing is seeking a Staff Accountant. This role is perfect for someone with a strong AP background who wants to broaden their accounting experience. While approximately 60% of your time will focus on Accounts Payable, you'll also gain valuable exposure to Accounts Receivable, payroll, tax, month‑end close, and general ledger accounting. Responsibilities: Accounts Payable (Approximately 60%) Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently. Review invoices for approvals and proper coding. Prepare weekly ACH, wire, and check payment runs. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries. Assist with month‑end AP close and accruals. Ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time. Support Accounts Receivable by processing customer invoices and recording cash receipts. Assist with collections and account reconciliations. Support payroll processing and related reconciliations. Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts. Assist with sales and use tax filings. Contribute to month‑end and year‑end close activities. Prepare audit support and financial schedules. Help improve accounting processes and identify efficiencies. Provide support across the accounting team as business needs evolve. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of accounting experience, with strong Accounts Payable experience required. Manufacturing or industrial accounting experience is a plus. Experience with Accounts Receivable, payroll, and month‑end close is preferred. SAP experience is highly desirable, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
