Human Resources Generalist

Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with an established landscape organization in their search for an HR Generalist. Our client is seeking a hands‑on HR professional who is comfortable supporting employees and leadership across a variety of HR functions. Talent acquisition will be a major focus of the role, along with benefits administration and other day‑to‑day HR responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional to join a growing organization and make an impact across the HR function. The role is fully onsite in Upper Marlboro, MD, with hours of 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Responsibilities: Support day‑to‑day HR operations and provide general HR support to employees and managers Assist with full‑cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating the hiring process Partner with hiring managers to support staffing and hiring needs Support onboarding and new hire processes Assist with employee benefits administration and serve as a resource for employee questions Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation Assist with HR‑related reporting, compliance, and administrative processes Support employee relations and other general HR matters as needed Help implement and maintain HR policies, procedures, and initiatives Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and overall efficiency Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion when handling employee information Qualifications: 2+ years of general HR experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred Working knowledge of general HR practices and employment laws Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking initiative Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Strong problem‑solving and follow‑through skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn HRIS and other HR technology platforms #J-18808-Ljbffr Chesapeake Search Partners
