This inpatient Physical Therapist opportunity is based in Houma, Louisiana, a vibrant community in the heart of bayou country. With a moderate climate, family-friendly neighborhoods, and a strong sense of community, Houma provides a comfortable place to live and work.In this role, you will practice in an inpatient setting serving a diverse adult population that may include medical-surgical, orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-operative patients. Depending on the facility's specific structure, you may also see patients in step-down or intensive care environments as part of an early mobility and functional recovery focus. Typical responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, development of individualized treatment plans, daily therapeutic interventions, patient and family education, and active participation in discharge planning to support safe transitions to home, outpatient therapy, or other post-acute levels of care.You will work closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team that may include physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and social workers. Participation in team conferences and care coordination meetings is expected to ensure that therapy plans are aligned with overall medical goals. The environment emphasizes evidence-based practice, clear communication, and collaborative problem solving, allowing you to contribute meaningfully to patient outcomes.A typical day may include morning evaluations and treatment sessions focused on mobility, transfers, gait training, balance, and functional independence

follow-up sessions later in the day to progress exercises

and detailed documentation within the electronic medical record system. Patient caseloads and ratios are set to balance productivity expectations with quality one-on-one patient care, and you will prioritize patients based on acuity and medical stability in coordination with the care team. You can expect to work alongside supportive colleagues who understand the demands of inpatient practice and value shared decision-making and clinical input from therapists.Shifts are generally aligned with daytime hours to allow for optimal patient scheduling, with potential weekend and holiday rotations to provide consistent inpatient coverage. Start and end times may vary slightly to meet unit needs and patient flow. Required Qualifications

Physical Therapist, Inpatient Rehab Experience: 1 year Licenses: PT(Compact Accepted) Certifications: BLS-AHA

Preferred Qualifications

One year experience is preferred. but open to new grad with good clinicals
