Urgent Remote Role: Actuarial Forecasting Lead | Remote | 12-15 years experience

Senior P&C Actuarial Forecasting LeadModelling-heavy senior individual contributor. Closer to a modelling-heavy IC than a reserving-cycle role—the deciding factor is model improvement and validation rather than routine quarterly reporting.Senior P&C actuarial forecasting lead role serving specialty insurance, extended warranty, and device protection products. You'll review and improve claims forecasts, loss development and actuarial models, validate results, and partner with actuarial, finance, claims, underwriting, supply chain, data science, and engineering teams. The 12-month contract-to-hire position is remote across the USA.Requirements:Must have:12-15 years of actuarial experienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related quantitative disciplinePractical experience in actuarial modelling, claims forecasting and applying actuarial projections to business planningStrong experience in actuarial modelling, claims frequency and severity analysis, loss ratio projections and claims cost estimationGood understanding of extended warranty, device protection, service contracts or specialty insurance productsExperience in claims reserving, loss development analysis and ultimate loss projectionsHands on experience in building and reviewing actuarial models using historical claims experience, exposure data, product mix and cost assumptionsExperience working with actuarial, claims, underwriting and finance teamsStrongly preferred:Experience with actuarial and analytical toolsExposure to statistical modelling, and AI ML techniques applied to claims and loss estimationNice to have:Professional actuarial qualifications or progress towards actuarial certificationSkills & Domain:Tools Excel Power_BI Alteryx Domain Claims forecasting and loss development Extended warranty and device protection products Actuarial model building and validation Statistical and AI/ML modelling for claims
