Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Delivering daily trach care, including suctioning and monitoring to keep the student safe and comfortable.
• Administering two morning inhaler treatments, with thorough documentation and attention to the student’s respiratory needs.
• Supporting toileting routines—providing reminders and assistance while promoting independence.
• Encouraging safe eating habits at mealtimes by preparing bite-sized portions and overseeing consumption.
• Riding the school bus to and from the student’s home each day to ensure continuous support.
• Collaborating with school staff to maintain an inclusive and encouraging environment.

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Current Illinois RN license (required).
• All Illinois state-specific compliance requirements completed prior to start.
• Experience with trach care, suctioning, and respiratory treatments preferred.
• Familiarity with school-based nursing or pediatric populations is a plus.
• Immediate availability for onsite panel interviews; the position starts as soon as possible.
• Reliable, compassionate, and proactive with excellent communication skills.
• Must be comfortable working independently—no additional training will be provided.
