COOK SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL has an IMMEDIATE need for a Senior Blue Yonder Transportation Modeling (TMOD) Specialist The Senior Blue Yonder Transportation Modeling (TMOD) Specialist is a global technical expert responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting transportation optimization solutions using Blue Yonder Transportation Modeling (TMOD). The role plays a key part in the global rollout of Blue Yonder TMS, partnering with regional business teams to translate transportation business requirements into optimized transportation solutions. The specialist develops and maintains transportation optimization models, supports regional implementations, and enables the successful adoption of standardized transportation optimization capabilities across multiple markets. In addition to delivering transportation optimization solutions, the role is responsible for building regional TMOD capability through coaching, knowledge transfer, and technical mentoring, enabling regional modelers to progressively become self-sufficient in developing, maintaining, and supporting transportation optimization models. The role requires extensive hands-on experience with Blue Yonder TMOD and a strong understanding of Blue Yonder Transportation Management (TM), including transportation master data, tariff structures, and freight rating, to ensure optimization models accurately reflect regional business requirements and deliver optimal business outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Partner with regional business teams to understand transportation processes, operational challenges, business requirements, and optimization opportunities. Translate business requirements into transportation optimization strategies, optimization models, and business scenarios. Design, develop, maintain, and optimize TMOD Strategy Files, Parameter Files, and supporting optimization artifacts. Configure TMOD solver settings, optimization parameters, and business rules. Build, validate, test, and continuously improve transportation optimization models. Design, execute, and evaluate transportation optimization scenarios to improve transportation cost, service levels, routing efficiency, equipment utilization, and network performance. Analyze optimization results, identify improvement opportunities, and provide recommendations to support business decision-making. Troubleshoot optimization issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions. Monitor optimization performance and recommend enhancements to improve solution quality, execution time, and business outcomes. Develop reusable modeling assets, templates, technical documentation, and best practices. Support the adoption of standardized global transportation optimization methodologies, governance, and ways of working across all regions. Leverage expert knowledge of Blue Yonder Transportation Management (TM), including transportation master data, tariff structures, freight rating, and business rules, to support transportation optimization. Work closely with regional business teams to understand regional transportation tariff structures and operational requirements that influence optimization outcomes. Assess the impact of transportation master data, tariffs, and business rules on optimization results and recommend improvements where required. Collaborate with regional business teams to identify and resolve transportation master data or tariff-related issues impacting optimization performance. Solution Delivery & Capability Development: Develop technical documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and user guides. Train, coach, mentor, and progressively build regional TMOD capability to enable regional modelers to independently develop, maintain, validate, and support transportation optimization models. Contribute to the development of standardized TMOD methodologies, reusable assets, and best practices. Support solution design, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and post-go-live support activities. Support transportation optimization implementations across multiple regions. Support continuous improvement initiatives and the adoption of new Blue Yonder capabilities. Experience & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Logistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Blue Yonder Transportation Modeling (TMOD). Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder Transportation Management (TM). Proven expertise developing and maintaining TMOD Strategy Files, Parameter Files, solver configurations, and transportation optimization models. Strong understanding of transportation optimization concepts, including routing, consolidation, continuous moves, fleet optimization, network optimization, and transportation planning. Strong understanding of Blue Yonder Transportation Management (TM), including transportation master data, transportation tariffs, freight rating, and how they influence transportation optimization. Demonstrated ability to translate transportation business requirements into transportation optimization solutions and actionable business recommendations. Experience supporting solution implementation, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and post-go-live support. Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into transportation optimization solutions. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and SQL. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and technical documentation skills. Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and support business users and regional teams in a global environment. Experience supporting global Blue Yonder implementations is a plus. Experience training and coaching business or technical teams is a plus. Success Measures: Successful support of the global rollout of Blue Yonder TMOD and TM across multiple regions. Delivery of high-quality transportation optimization models aligned with business requirements and global standards. Development and adoption of standardized transportation optimization methodologies, reusable assets, and best practices. Successful knowledge transfer and capability development, enabling regional modelers to independently develop, maintain, and support transportation optimization models. Successful delivery of transportation optimization enhancements within agreed timelines and quality standards. Positive stakeholder feedback from regional business teams and global stakeholders.
