Home Health Aide (HHA) / CNA Pay : Hourly $14 - $16 per hour (based on experience). Location : Florida, Merritt Island. NHC HomeCare Merritt Island is looking for a Home Health Aide to join our team. The Home Health Aide (HHA) provides assigned functions of personal care to the patient in the home under the direction, instruction, and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Training Requirements for Home Health Aides Documentation of successful completion of a Home Health Aide training and competency evaluation program that meets the standards of 42 CFR 484.80. At least 75 hours of training, including 16 hours of clinical training. A diploma issued by a vocational school approved by Florida’s Department of Education. Documentation of successful completion of training as specified by state regulations, through another home health agency. HHAs trained in another state and able to provide documentation of course completion to the employing home health agency. Other Qualifications for Home Health Aides Graduate nurses with proof of graduation from an accredited school of nursing, waiting to take their boards for licensure in Florida, can work as a home health aide. Registered nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) who can show proof they are licensed in another state or in Florida, can work as a home health aide in Florida. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) with a current State of Florida certification.
