Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years cardiac experience in a large hospital setting for a contract position in St. Louis Park, MN.
Details
- Heart and Vascular Center setting performing non-invasive cardiology procedures
- 8 hour day shifts with start times varying from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM
- Floating to one outreach location per week on average (Stillwater or Westfields)
- Weekend rotation every 6th/7th weekend
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Philips Epiq 7 machines
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Non-Invasive Cardiology Technology program
- Minimum of 2 years cardiac experience in a large hospital setting
- RDCS and ARDMS certification required
- CPR or BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Knowledge of electrocardiography, arrhythmias, and conduction disturbances
- Knowledge of sterile technique and basic mathematical principles including algebra
- Ability to use defibrillator and crash cart
- Ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation effectively
- Ability to work with critically ill/injured adult patients
- Ability to recognize and report equipment problems and malfunctions
- Ability to carry out basic clerical activities
- New graduates not considered
